National Reconciliation Week
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Junior Primary students have been learning about Aboriginal damper making with Aunty Jenny and Aunty Rachel, the children have been learning how damper was traditionally made and the children also got to try kangaroo.
Attendance at the PLJPS
As Student Wellbeing Leader, one of my jobs is to contact families of children who have not been attending school regularly, I am in the process of writing personal letters to families regarding student’s attendance rates. It is a requirement that any absences from school are explained in writing or by contacting the school directly. Late arrivals/ early departures need to be explained/negotiated with the class teacher. Exemptions need to be negotiated with our Principal, Kathy Davison. If you would like to discuss matters around attendance/engagement or the wellbeing needs of your child, please contact me via front office/admin on 86 82 1226, to make an appointment.
